meme : ) MIT 100K Submission

we're off and running! meme has seen a busy 2 weeks, and we have now formalized our approach.


memeJ is a busy person’s customized group assistant: a productivity social media tool that finds the best place and time to connect friends, family & acquaintances, maximizing convenience and happiness in order to increase the frequency of face-to-face events.

With a simple user interface, memeJ suggests an optimal group solution by pulling multiple streams of data: availability, location, preferences, best route.   memeJ does all the thinking, and suggesting, just ‘click to connect.’  memeJ allows connecting people to spend time in productive activities, helps people discover new and appropriate places, and most importantly facilitates more ‘cultural transmissions’—the definition of ‘meme.’
market | memeJ’s market is the increasingly busy urban professional who networks for personal and professional reasons, and has little time to maximize efficiency in their calendar.   memeJ pilot will be conducted with the graduate/professional school student population in Cambridge/Boston in April 2013, with a revised launch in the same population for Fall 2013.

Learning from growth and limited functionality of Doodle and yelp, memeJ will achieve sustainable growth, solidifying user base, then adding additional fee for service of memeJdata , memeJmarkets, memeJplaces

team | memeJ cofounders have diverse experiences developing technology products, bringing technology consumer and service products to market, service/venture development that catalyzes economic development, and who know the target markets intimately.
